Government Shaheed Bappurao P.G. College was stablished in the year 1982 with the purpose of providing higher education to those student who belongs to economically poor and down trodden section of the society. This region was less privileged in the area of education, compared to the other regions of the state before the Government Shaheed Bapurao P.G. College came into the scenario. Initially only B.A. (English, Hindi, Sociology, Political Science, History, Environmental Studies and Economics) and B.Com (All Compulsory Subjects) Classes were started in the College. The college had no building of it’s own and was running in School building.
In 1991 our Institution has moved to It’s own building which is full filling the needs of 702 Students in current year (2021-22). New degree courses like M.A. in History and political Science were started in 2005 and three other subjects (English, Hindi, Economics) were started in 2017. In the session 2016-17 B.Sc(Bio and Math) was introduction in our institution. Geography as a subject was Introduced in 2018-19 at U.G. level in our institution.
Government Shaheed Bapurao P.G. College campus is spred over 1.85 Acre area and it is easily approachable by NH30.Our institution is named after freedom fighter Shaheed Bapurao.Our institution is located in district head quarter and It is lead College of the district. We are trying to deliver quality education to those student who are coming from educationally backward and financially poor background . We aim to retain our popularity, consistency, commitment towards education and strive to further development of the college quality wise.
